Avalanche Basics for Motorized Travel

This is a great intro class for people who are interested in motorized travel or who are already into motorized travel but don’t have basic avalanche knowledge. You will learn how to identify avalanche terrain, travel safely in the backcountry and properly use your avalanche equipment. \
Topics covered include: trip planning, selecting terrain, avalanche rescue, gear usage and protocol. This one-day course, constructed by an experienced avalanche professional, will help you feel prepared when traveling in the backcountry.
Snowbike Colorado offers bikes and snowmobiles to rent for the course - or you can bring your own.
Must bring avalanche equipment including beacon, shovel and probe.

Women’s Snowbike Clinic
Calling all ladies! We offer women-specific snowbike clinics for those who want to learn how to ride a timbersled or hone in their skills. Snowbikes are more agile and lightweight than snowmobiles – making them much more maneuverable and less difficult to get stuck in deep powder!
If you are frustrated riding a snowmobile and want to experience freedom in powder and tight trees – then a snowbike is perfect for you.
Join a community of ladies in the backcountry and explore new terrain in our women-led clinic. Our women’s clinic is a fun way to learn new skills and get outside in a supportive and awesome group!
